2GIS is a Russian local search company that develops digital maps and guides of cities in Russia, The UAE, Italy, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Chile, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus and Ukraine. Their headquarters are located in Novosibirsk. They chose Prism Digital to manage their advertising and lead generation campaign for the launch of their new mobile app in the UAE. We created a visual representation of how the mobile app user interface and user experience within the ad campaign to give a potential user a glimpse of how the app would react in their phone. This realistic representation drove a lot of the customers to download the app, just out of curiosity.
Prism Digital created and managed a comprehensive digital marketing strategy encompassing every medium to educate the target audience in the UAE and encourage them to download the app on their phones. The digital marketing strategy involved using Google search, Google banners, video lead generation and mobile install ads via Google, Youtube, Facebook, Skype and Yahoo. We also used social media to drive downloads of the 2GIS app by creating rich media like GIFs, graphics and fun animated videos to educate the target audience about the USPs of the app in comparison to the Google Map app.
We created a series of ads justifying why people in the UAE should download the app and start using it actively. The campaign ran for one month and we generated just over 100,000 downloads of the mobile app in the UAE alone.
